Hedgehog Slice

I don’t like chocolate so making this was a bit bleh .. but it was for family and friends so had to be done 😂 😕 everyone agreed it was a hit so here’s the recipe.

  • 1 x pkt arrowroot or marie biscuits
  • 1/2 cup fine coconut
  • 1 tin sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup nuts coarsely chopped (I used almonds and macadamias)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 cups dark chocolate melts
  • 100grm butter
  • 1 tbsp veg oil
  1. Grease a slice tray
  2. Crush biscuits (you can use a rolling pin or crush by hand – they don’t need to be super fine, chunky is good)
  3. In a large bowl combine biscuits, coconut, nuts and cocoa
  4. Heat a saucepan and mix half the chocolate, butter and condensed milk until runny. Let cool a little then pour over mixture
  5. Mix until combined and then pour into tray and flatten using your hand
  6. Heat the remaining chocolate and oil until runny (I do this by placing a heatproof bowl over boiling water on the stove and stir constantly – microwave would work fine too). Once runny pour over slice and smooth with a spatula
  7. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes or until set. Take out of tray and cut using a sharpe knife (putting knige through warm water will help cut through if need be

Enjoy 👍😚
