Basic Fried Rice

Fried rice is such a simple dish to make. It’s great to use up left over veg, you can pretty much chuck anything veg like in.

This is my go to recipe and I like to use this as a side dish..not a lot of veg in this one but as it’s a side dish I usually add some extra veg on the plate anyway.

  • 3 – 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 1/2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp chilli powder (or a diced chilli)
  • 1 brown onion diced
  • 2 carrots grated
  • 3 rashers bacon diced
  • 2 (or more) eggs whisked
  1. Cook rice
  2. Heat oil in a hot wok
  3. Add bacon, onion and garlic (or any other veg like capsicum etc if using)
  4. Add in ginger, chilli and sauces
  5. Add grated carrot and stir then add rice a spoonful at a time

Done. So easy.
