Beef Chow Mein

I made this recipe tonight from piecing a few chow mein recipes together. I made extra for leftovers….there is nothing left over! For kids who aparently hate cabbage and random icky vegetables they have basically licked their bowls clean. So … I had to share with you guys. Enjoy x

  • 700grm beef mince 
  • 500grm pack hokkien noodles
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1/2 brown onion chopped finely
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 3/4 roughly chopped chinese cabbage
  • 1/2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 red capsicum chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbps coconut oil
  1. Place noodles in boiling water and leave for 5 mins
  2. Heat oil in a wok and add onion, capsicum and garlic cook for 2 mins
  3. Add mince and break up. Cook until browned
  4. Add curry power and cook another minute. Add oyster and soy sauce cook another 2 mins
  5. Add cabbage, peas, carrot and noodles. Once cabbage wilts a bit it’s done.

Note – you can reduce or double this recipe easily.
